| Mr David Alderson | David Alderson is a Director at Cogentia Healthcare, a life sciences consultancy based in Cambridge, UK. The focus of the business is health, economic and market access consulting to the pharmaceutical industry. David’s life sciences career over the last 27 years has spanned roles within a number of the major pharmaceutical companies including GSK, Novartis and MedImmune (AZ). He has an MBA from Cranfield, a postgraduate Marketing Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is also a Chartered Engineer (IMechE). David is married to Lizzie and they have three children. |
| Mrs Tololupe Anifalaje | Tolulope (Tolu) Anifalaje studied Law at University College London and, following qualification as a Solicitor, worked in the private sector in London for several years. On relocating to Cambridge, she became Group Solicitor for the East Anglia offices of her firm. During a career break, Tolu served as a trustee for several charities within Cambridge. She returned to her career in 2019 and currently manages the Housing Legal Team at a London-based Local Authority. She is married to Busoye and they have two children. |
| Mrs Felicity Hough | Felicity Hough practised as a Property Solicitor in London for ten years. During that time she made three visits to Uganda, leading a team of eight supporting the Diocesan Youth work. These experiences inspired her to retrain as a Religious Studies teacher at Homerton College. In addition to teaching, Felicity has been an A Level examiner with OCR, a Governor of a maintained school when it became an Academy, and Governor of a prep school. Between retiring and the beginning of the Covid pandemic she was an Education Consultant, supporting families from overseas in finding the best schools for their children in the UK. She ran a virtual summit entitled Knowing Culture for Better Education 2020. In March 2021, she married Geoffrey. An added delight has been becoming a step-mother and step-grandmother. |
| Dr Paul Martin | Paul Martin was the Religious Studies teacher at Heritage from 2015–2022, and briefly served as the Head of Seniors. He retired in 2022 and lives with his wife, Anna, in Saffron Walden. They help to care for two granddaughters. He grew up in India where his parents were missionaries, and settled in Cambridge when he was 17. Here he attended Hills Road Sixth Form College and then Cambridge University. His degree was in Theology and he added to this a PGCE and PhD. The subject for the latter was E. Stanley Jones, an American missionary to India from 1907 to 1948. In addition to his time at Heritage, he also taught Religious Studies in the Boys High School in Bishop’s Stortford and in Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow. During that time he was also on the leadership of Gold Street Chapel. This became the Saffron Walden Community Church soon after he started at Heritage. Dr Martin loves cricket but, sadly, doesn’t play these days. |
| Revd Dr Rob McDonald (Chair) | Rob McDonald is the Academic Dean and Tutor in Christian Doctrine at Ridley Hall, an Anglican theological college in Cambridge. Following roles in scientific research and financial services marketing, he spent two years working for Holy Trinity Brompton church in central London. During his time at HTB he was accepted to train for ordination in the Church of England, moving to Ridley Hall where he studied theology at the University of Cambridge as part of his preparation for ministry. He served for three years as a curate in St George’s, Shrewsbury, before returning to Ridley to teach. Rob is married to Anna and they have three children. He enjoys cycling slowly up long mountain roads, a pastime that is difficult to indulge in Cambridge! |
| Mrs Catherine Meakin | Cat Meakin studied Experimental Psychology at Oxford before going to Ridley Hall Theological College Cambridge to train for ordination, including completing a Theology Degree at Selwyn College. In 2003 she started work at Holy Trinity Church, Cambridge, where she served her curacy as the Children’s, Youth and Student Pastor until 2010 when her daughter was born. She returned to Holy Trinity Church as the Children’s Pastor in 2017. She is married to Rick and they have two children. |
