The first step in applying for a place is to come and see us for yourself.
Registering for a Place
After visiting Heritage you can register your interest in a place by completing the registration form and paying a £30 registration fee and £120 assessment fee.
Entrance Examinations
Prospective pupils for Heritage’s senior year groups are assessed through entrance examinations which take place at the school.
For Year 7 entry, prospective pupils attend an examination morning at the end of the Autumn term when they are in Year 6. They sit papers in Maths, English and do a piece of extended writing. There are also opportunities for applicants to sit papers later in the school year if places are still available.
Pupils joining the school in other year groups will be invited for a taster day, during which they will sit papers appropriate for their age group on an individual basis.
Accepting a Place
For pupils sitting the Autumn term Year 7 entrance exams the initial offers of places are made by the end of that term. Subsequent offers are made as places become available.
We will stay in close contact with you throughout this process. When an offer is made, you will receive an offer letter and be asked to return a signed Acceptance Form together with a non-refundable Acceptance Fee. Your child’s place is secured as soon as we have received these. We will then send out other information about starting school such as consent forms and details about uniform.
Jump Up Day
In the Summer term, incoming Year 7 offer holders attend a day at Heritage to familiarise themselves with their new school, teachers and friends.
