Connecting With Educators and Others
Heritage is receiving increasing attention in the media and across the sector as a school with a distinctive approach. Our approach is grounded in the unique philosophy and methodology of the British educator Charlotte Mason (1842-1923) and it includes a commitment to screen free routine learning. We are often approached by educators and others who want to see Heritage in action and learn more about the school. To register your interest, please use the booking form below.
Educator Visits
We welcome visits on select Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm. These mornings include a tour of the school and two lesson observations—typically in the Infant or Junior School, where our distinctive approach is most visible in practice. If preferred, we are happy to arrange for a Senior School lesson to be observed instead.
The morning also includes the opportunity to meet with the school’s founders.
There is a fee of £50 (including VAT) per visit, which helps cover staffing and administrative costs. For groups of two or three, the cost is £30 per person (including VAT). We do not want cost to be a barrier. If that would be true in your case, please let us know.
If you are able and would like to make a donation to our bursary fund to support our wider work, we would be most grateful.

If you would like to know more about the unique curriculum of Heritage School and our distinctive approach, an in-depth consultation with one or both of our founders is available at a cost of £90 an hour (including VAT).
These consultation meetings can be face-to-face or online.

Educator Training Days
This Training Day has been developed for school leaders, practitioners and those in education generally who want to learn more about our unique curriculum. During the day:
- You will learn about narration, how to do it, why it is so effective, and how you can apply it to your current learning environment.
- You will find out how to implement nature study, walks and painting into your learning environment and how to use ‘high culture’ to enrich learning (such as Picture Study).
- You will discover the underlying principles behind these educational practices.
The lesson observations are focussed in the Junior School where these methodologies are mainly used at Heritage. This is a unique opportunity to gain CPD in a distinctive approach.

Items To Bring
- Please bring walking shoes for the Nature Walk in the afternoon.
- Please bring a coat in case of rain.
- Please bring photographic proof of identity such as a passport or drivers licence.
- Directions: Heritage School is located in the centre of Cambridge close to the
- Fitzwilliam Museum on Trumpington Road, 17-19 Brookside, CB2 1JE.
If you wish to come by public transport, the Cambridge train station is a 15 minute walk from our school, and the Trumpington Park and Ride has a stop just opposite our location (outside the Leys School)
There is also long term Pay and Display parking on Trumpington Street across from the Botanic Gardens, and at Lammas Land on Newnham Road
The Queen Anne Terrace car park is also an option
