At Heritage, pupils begin studying Latin from Year 5—a wonderful opportunity to explore a language that underpins so much of our own. Alongside vocabulary and grammar, our Junior School Latin curriculum includes hands-on activities that bring the ancient world to life. Year 5 pupils enjoy hosting a Roman banquet, while Year 6 build models of iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and Circus Maximus. Their year also includes a visit to St Albans, where pupils explore Roman Britain at the Verulamium Museum.
