As we look back over our first 17 years, the generosity of those who have been in a position to help has made a decisive contribution. This was true when the school was founded in 2007, and it was especially true when we were seeking to purchase 17-19 Brookside in 2020. Now, our school community is facing another serious challenge.
Following the general election that took place in July, the new government has introduced three taxes that will have a severe impact upon independent schools like Heritage. Unfortunately, without support, fewer middle income families will be able to access the education they believe best meets the needs of their children. This includes families seeking an education that accords with their faith tradition.
In order to help families access a Heritage education, we have established a Bursary Fund, and we are actively seeking contributions to it. We want to see as many children as possible benefit from what Heritage has to offer.
Bursaries are means-tested awards. Each application is carefully reviewed to ensure that support is provided where it is most needed. Bursaries can be awarded as part of the admission process, or they can be awarded to existing Heritage families experiencing unexpected difficulties.
In order to give to our Bursary Fund, you can make a one-off gift using the buttons provided on this page. Regular giving over two or three years can make a significant contribution. Use the Recurring Gift button to start setting up regular giving from the UK; the NCF page for giving from the USA facilitates recurring gifts as well as one-off gifts. Some supporters might like to consider a legacy gift to our Bursary Fund.
Please contact our Bursar, Catriona Buchanan, on bursar@heritageschool.org.uk for any questions you may having about giving to our Bursary Fund.
