A Memorable Performance of Alice the Musical

On Tuesday evening, Year 5 put on a delightful performance of Alice the Musical, based on the Lewis Carroll story Alice in Wonderland. The production captured the playful, topsy-turvy spirit of Wonderland, with music, staging and scenery combining to create a colourful and fun setting for the story.

The pupils gave confident and enthusiastic performances, stepping into a wide variety of familiar characters including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts. There was plenty of energy and character on stage, and it was clear how much effort and enjoyment had gone into the rehearsals.

The production was directed by Mr Dalton, Year 5 teacher, with musical direction and piano accompaniment from Mrs Zurcher. Guitar accompaniment was provided by Mr Wright. Ms Robertson and Miss Irwin worked with the pupils on artwork and props, and Miss Woodroffe managed the lighting. Many thanks to all of them for their contribution to such a successful performance.

Bravo to all of Year 5 for their hard work, teamwork and commitment in bringing together such an impressive show.
